What Data We Store

JobJet stores the following information locally in your browser:

• Personal information you enter (name, email, phone, address)
• Work history and education details
• Skills, references, and other profile data
• Your eligibility and EEO preferences
• Usage count for the free tier limit

All of this data is stored using Chrome's chrome.storage.local API and remains entirely on your device.

What Data We Collect

None.

We do not:

• Collect any personal information
• Track your browsing activity
• Use analytics or tracking pixels
• Send any data to external servers
• Require account creation or login
• Store anything in the cloud

How Your Data Is Used

Your stored profile data is used exclusively to:

• Auto-fill job application forms when you click the Auto-Fill button
• Display your information in the profile editor
• Export your data as JSON when you request it

That's it. No other uses.

Data Sharing

We don't share your data because we don't have it.

Since all data is stored locally in your browser, we have no access to it and cannot share it with anyone — including ourselves.

Third-Party Services

JobJet does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services. The extension operates entirely offline after installation.

The only external communication is when you click a link to visit our website or the Chrome Web Store — standard browser navigation that you initiate.

Data Retention

Your data remains in your browser until you:

• Click "Clear All Data" in the profile editor
• Uninstall the JobJet extension
• Clear your browser's extension storage

We have no ability to delete your data because we don't have access to it.

Data Portability

You can export all your data at any time:

1. Open the JobJet Profile Editor
2. Scroll to the Data Management section
3. Click "Export Profile"

This downloads a JSON file containing all your saved information. You can use this to back up your data or transfer it to another browser/computer.

Security

Your data is protected by:

• Local-only storage: Data cannot be intercepted in transit because it's never transmitted
• Browser sandboxing: Chrome's extension security model isolates your data
• No external dependencies: The extension doesn't load remote code or resources

For maximum security, we recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated.

Children's Privacy

JobJet is intended for job seekers of legal working age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 (or applicable age in your jurisdiction). Since we don't collect any information at all, this is not a practical concern.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Since we don't have your contact information, we cannot notify you directly of changes.
